FAQ

Straight answers before the demo.

Short, direct answers on how Zumbay prepares your feed, why attribution closes at the VIN page, and what stays off limits.

01 · The connection

How AI assistants read your inventory

Can’t an AI assistant already read our website?

Public web pages do not guarantee current stock, verified trim equipment, or a direct VDP link. Zumbay turns your daily feed into Vehicle DNA published four ways: machine-readable pages, structured data, /llms.txt, and assistant endpoints.

Does Zumbay replace our website, DMS, or CRM?

No. Your website stays your digital storefront, and Zumbay never connects to your DMS or CRM. Zumbay reads your published feed, routes shoppers to your VDP, and logs the visit with one pixel.

Can Zumbay guarantee that our dealership appears in an AI answer?

No. AI assistants decide their own answers. Zumbay makes every ready vehicle answerable, runs scheduled shopper questions, and records what follows.

02 · Measurement & attribution

Where the loop closes, and why

Why does Zumbay close the loop at the vehicle page instead of the CRM?

CRM connections require customer data and depend on a salesperson logging a sale. Zumbay claims attribution on the directly observable chain: named in an answer, clicked, and arrived on that VIN’s page on your site.

What is the difference between “influenced” and “attributed”?

A scheduled question whose answer names one of your cars counts as influenced. A Zumbay-tagged click that lands on your vehicle page counts as attributed. Never summed.

What happens when a source or pixel is not connected yet?

The dashboard states “not connected” in plain words. Zumbay never shows a false zero or blends incomplete data into another rooftop.

Getting a rooftop live

Which inventory feeds work, and what do you need from us?

Your public domain, your scheduled CSV/XML or vAuto-style export feed, and one pixel on your VDP template. A Zumbay specialist guides your team through setup.

Is Zumbay an advertising platform?

No — Zumbay is not an advertising platform; organic readiness comes first. For stores that want optional paid placement in AI answers, you set the budget, ads use Zumbay-tracked VDP links, and paid visits sit on their own line.

How do dealer groups, agencies, and manufacturers use Zumbay?

Every role reads the same records scoped to its job: one rooftop for a GM, one line per store for a group, assigned rooftops for an agency, and approved model facts for a manufacturer.
